Mudeford Spit is a truly inspiring “away day” venue. We offer you the opportunity to enjoy a unique day with colleagues in a famed Mudeford beach hut, Christchurch Harbour, Dorset
Mudeford beach huts are set on a stunning sandbank overlooking Christchurch harbour and Priory on one side and the Isle of Wight and the Needles on the other. Originally fishing huts there are now 350 individual privately owned huts, each is unique as is the coastal scenery and exceptional tranquility of this area of outstanding natural beauty.
Catching the ferry from Mudeford quay for the short journey to the famous Mudeford sandbank you embark upon on a journey, leaving the distractions of the office and worries of the everyday behind, heading for a beautiful truly inspirational destination where your thoughts will be set free !
Hut 282 is located at the “Hengistbury Head” end of the sandbank, just 10 minutes walk from the ferry pier. In 2013 the old hut was replaced by a stunning new build with kitchen (with gas cooker and fridge), electricity with phone chargers, balcony, loft and its own beach table. The hut faces the harbour and the head on one side and the rear steps right on to the sandy beach which is ideal for bathing, boating and fishing.
The Hut is comfortable for 10 in fine weather, 6 when all activities need to be inside, and has all that would be required for a successful away day:
Lunch is provided by arrangement. Choose from the standard buffet lunch, or a barbecue on the beach (freshly caught mackerel thoroughly recommended!). Alternatively you can lunch at the Beach House restaurant (15 mins walk away).
